A new report “Making Local Food Work: Influencing Consumer Buying Behaviour“, co-written by Dr Ian Fitzpatrick and Dr Tom MacMillan of the Food Ethics Council, has been launched by Making Local Food Work, which aims to put “behaviour change tools and techniques in the hands of communities”
Despite the popular support for the idea of locally-produced food, the statistics suggest that while 30% of people say they buy locally-produced food this only accounts for 2.5% of total sales
